报告人简介：Tang earned her first B.S. Degree in Computer Science from Peking University in 1984. She served as a research scientist in the software engineering group at the Software Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Science from 1984 to 1986. Tang earned her second B.S. Degree in Experimental Psychology from Grinnell College in 1990, and her PhD in psychology from Harvard University in 1995.

    Following the completion of her Ph.D. Tang spent two years as a research associate in the Computational neurobiology Laboratory of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies with a fellowship from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Since 1997, Tang has been serving on the faculty in the Department of Psychology and Department of neurosciences at the University of New Mexico. She directs the Laboratory of Cognitive neuroscience. During this period, she has spent one sabbatical year in the neuroendocrinology Laboratory at the Rockefeller University (2001-2002) and another in the Institute of Cognitive neuroscience, University College London (2004-2005). She has been serving as the Director for the Cognitive neuroscience Program at the National Science Foundation since July 2012.
